Impressive Medal Haul at Bundoora

AV 10k/3k Cross Country Race Report by Christine Williams

Well done today to all Old Xavs athletes who ran at Bundoora. A challenging cross country course showcased some great runs for the Red & Black Army.

Medals For The Young Guns (3k)

Under 20 Men’s Para 3km: It was great to welcome Laurie Tod back to racing, and while he was under instruction to take it easy he still ran at a pace to pick up a silver medal closely followed by Christos Tsorlinis who had a great run to pick up the bronze medal. Special welcome to Ryder Tremewen who made his OXAC debut.

Under 20 Women’s Para: Eloise Valentini kept the U20 medal haul going taking home the gold medal.

Open Men’s Para 3km: Cam Marshall led this race the whole way, just being overtaken in the finish chute for overall honours, but winning gold in the para category. It was an Old Xavs clean sweep with Carlos Manolitsas taking second and Finn Harvey third.

Open Women’s Para 3km: Georgia Powning took the gold, sharing the podium with Amelie Lague, who had the run of the day to take the bronze medal.
