Wrapping Up The APSOC Season In Style

Congratulations to all the OXAC athletes who ran last weekend in the final APSOC race for the Cross-Country Season, the Cooke McClelland 8km. The Red and Black were out in force and dominated the results on the day with Simon Holt being fastest OX male finishing 2nd overall in a time of 27:53 (1st M40). Laurie Tod was next over the line finishing 3rd overall with a time of 28:08 (1st M23) as he looks ominous for a big summer on the track. Annabelle Colman was fastest female OX athlete in a time of 30:10 finishing 7th overall (1st W23) as OX athletes took all positions on the podium in the women’s race with Di Guiney finishing 2nd in 34:33 (1st W50) and Tawni Gribble rounding out the podium with a time of 34:36 who also took out the Handicap Trophy.

Old Xavs’ finished the APSOC season in style winning the Team category in Div 1 and OX2 team finished 3rd. In the Women’s Team category our OX1 Women’s Team also won followed by OX2 Women’s Team in 2nd. Both Men’s and Women’s Team results solidified the success OXAC has had in the APSOC competition over the season with both the Men and the Women taking home the Premiership for the 2025 Season at the annual APSOC Dinner on Saturday night.

Other notable runs from Saturday were Alan Colman 29:43 5th overall (1st M50), Jason Paisley 31:44 (2nd M40), Craig Stagoll 33:49 (2nd M50), Julie Pearsons 35:20 (1st W40), Belinda Blackburn 36:41 (3rd W50), Christine Williams 40:06 (1st W60).
