OXAC Masters Shine at Jells Park

The AthsVic XCR Season kicked off with the traditional Jells Park relays on a perfect early season day of sunny skies and relatively mild temperatures. A strong set of performances saw the 60+ women (Jostia Hicks, Christine Williams, Margaret Fitzgerald) take the win in their division while the 50+ men (Bruce Davie, Alan Colman, Pablo Campillos) also managed a podium finish with Bruce dropping down an age category to help his in-form team mates.

The W40 team (Christy Bonstelle, Silvia Warren, Elisse Gateley), having given a couple of their stars to the open Premier team, were still good for 6th place. The M60 team of Richard Dickmann, Christopher Worsnop & Bob Meek took 9th in their division.

In open competition, the women’s Premier team (Lauren Moseby, Annabelle Colman, Aya Fukunaga, Claudia Haeger, Di Guiney) held on for 8th place, while the Div 3 men (Cam Marshall, Ant Meek, Jeremy Higlett, Dave Martini, Aidan Jackson) also took 8th. Lauren was our fastest woman of the day (23:15) and Jeremy (20:45) the fastest man.
