OXAC in Second at Midpoint of AVSL Season

As we head into the holiday break, OXAC is solidly established in second place on the ladder in Division 4 of AVSL with four rounds of competition remaining. It has been a true team effort with contributions from juniors, open athletes and masters. Continued strong performance in the remaining rounds could see OXAC in line for promotion to Div 3. There have been too many strong performances to list them all. It is great to see runners taking on field events as well to pick up valuable points.

In competition outside of AVSL, Annabelle Colman continued her tremendous run of form at the Collingwood Classic with a new club record for 3000m (T20) of 9:58.7, and Riley Bryce won the men’s A race in 8:28.52.

Next event is the Zatopek:10 where Annabelle will line up against the country’s best over 10k. AVSL resumes in January.
